Quality Assurance Engineer required for local Internet Services Company based in
Cambridge.
Main duties will include:
Working with internal customers, designing and developing automated tests
Working closely with developers in providing feedback on test results
Maintaining and developing infrastructure for continuous build and running of tests
Proving expertise and input on appropriate QA process, systems and infrastructure
Release management
Key player in development of new products & ensuring QA excellence
Working with legacy systems and implementing appropriate levels of testing
Skills/experience required
The ideal candidate will possess the following personal qualities and traits.
· A good understanding of Internet technologies and protocols
· Ability to work on one’s own initiative as well as within a team environment
· Enthusiasm for improving software products by ensuring an appropriate level of QA
· Ability to analyse and define test processes
Core Skills/Experience
· At least 3 years relevant experience
· Currently working in a similar role or ready to progress to a senior role
· Current hands-on test skills
· Experience of automated test code development in Java, Python or similar
· Some experience of Linux and Bash
Desirable skills but non-essential.
· Experience of tools such as ant, JUnit, CruiseControl, Hudson or similar
· Bachelor degree in computer science
· Experience of Agile development
Test automation with Selenium or similar
Salary £35-42K (DOE)
