Our client, a leading independent Tour Operator specialising in bespoke tailor-made holidays worldwide, is urgently seeking a Web Manager to manage, develop and over see the day to day running of their core web sites and online booking system.
As an enthusiastic, web-savvy professional, with good project management skills and proven experience of managing web platforms and working with content management systems, you should thrive under pressure and have a good resilience to an ever changing task list.
Working closely with the IT and online Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the continuous changes and developments of the websites and booking engine, including the creation of new content, reviewing and improving the design, navigation and usability of the sites and ensuring that the booking engine functions to its maximum potential.
You will be an innovative self starter with an excellent eye for detail and play a key role in the companys continuing development in this fast-moving environment.
Three to five years experience in an e-commerce or web-related role is essential as is an expert knowledge of the following areas: web design, CSS, Javascript, XML, an understanding of basic CMS concepts and best practice.
Our client requires someone who has the expertise to do but more importantly the understanding in order to project manage external experts in these areas.
Expertise in the travel arena is not essential but would be an advantage.
