Job Description

Programme Delivery Senior Executive

Due to expansion within the business our client is looking for a professional and experienced Technical Project Manager to oversee the management and delivery of product developments (software and online resources) and related projects with day to day responsibility for the progress of projects

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Manage day-to-day aspects of new publishing product and online resources development projects to agreed timescales and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, deliverables. Project dependencies and critical paths.
  • Undertake regular reporting to managers and stakeholders on project progress.
  • Working closely with partners organisations as required whilst liaising with stakeholders
  • Ensure adequate resources are available to ensure project delivery and negotiate with other department managers where appropriate to ensure adequate staffing levels
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
  • Track project milestones and deliverables
  • Develop and implement project management processes and tools
  • Work with the colleagues and marketing team to ensure the development and implementation of product launch plans to enable products to be successfully launched to market.
  • Contribute to internal and external meetings on project progress and staff briefings. 

Essential skills:   

  • Sound technical project management skills, with demonstrable understanding of managing complex projects between technical and non-technical external stakeholders.
  • Good communication and team-building skills in a previous technology-related management position. Evidence of communicating with a range of stakeholders including government organisation and out-sourced development teams.
  • Sound technology background and evidence of understanding the software/web product development process. Ability to establish and own product development processes
