Job Description
Financial Analyst/Accountant.*12 month contract*
A leading global retail technology solutions organisation requires a Finance Analyst to join them on a 12 month contract.
The successful candidate will be involved in the financial reporting, analysis, and consulting required to effectively and proactively support the UK and Netherlands Consumables business, including UK manufacturing plant.
This role has the objective of proactively supporting business decisions and driving profitability through accurate P&L, effective processes and sound business recommendations.
Responsibilities include:
The coordination of monthly business performance reviews (including Balance Sheet reviews)
P&L management
Preparation of monthly outlooks including investigating and explaining material variances to plan and outlook
Annual and monthly budgeting, forecasting as well as finance support for business issues that arise.
Specific Responsibilities and Activities will include:
* Prepare the Annual Plan, monthly review of operational results, risk review, and development of monthly outlook submissions. Coordinate and interface with the appropriate management and internal departments.
* Provide ad hoc financial reporting and analysis to the Consumables Europe management team and provide recommendations on business issues identified by the business or proactively identified within the planning team.
* Timely and accurate financial reporting, planning, forecasting and review of P&L and balance sheet. Includes processing of journals to ensure results are accurate.
* Liaise and provide support to infrastructure organisations and internal Consumables departments and management (eg Consumables Global Finance, Consumables Manufacturing & Ops teams, Controllers Group, Accenture Outsourced Services Centres, Pricing, Tax, Human Resources, etc.) on all relevant topics including (but not limited to) compensation, accruals, revenue recognition, asset management, balance sheet items, risk review, purchasing & procurements, internal control compliance, tax, Intrastat etc.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* at least 4 years related experience
* CIMA qualified/part qualified
