- Full Description:
The primary role is to design mechanical enclosures, wiring systems and electro-mechanical assemblies, working for a project manager as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Design work will include capture of design requirements, written and graphical documentation of designs, and supporting the project team by assisting in; design reviews, environmental testing, system commissioning, and post development support activities. The role will be partially customer facing and will require the successful candidate to evaluate, and control sub-contractors and their work.
SKILLS:
*Mechanical workshop skills: drilling, machining, and assembly work. Wiring, cable loom manufacture and soldering (PCB assembly, through-hole / surface mount).
*Microsoft Office Suite Visio
*2D and 3D drafting using CAD software
*Autodesk Inventor
*Production of mechanical constraints drawings for electroonic circuit card assemblies.
